In 2010 my life embarked on a new journey. When I first became sick I had no idea what was causing my cascading, worsening symptoms. Years later I was given a vague Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, although the symptoms and progression of that disease never quite fit my story. It took another three years to discover that a silent intruder had invaded my life, ravaging my body.
Surviving Lyme is more than my story of sickness. It is the story of hope. Life with chronic Lyme Disease, or any chronic illness, provides plenty of temptation to give up but I’ve discovered that even in spite of sickness, God gives us reason to press on. It is because of Christ we have reason to survive, dare I say thrive, with Lyme.”
